Either Rakeem Cato and James Rouse are huge How I Met Your Mother fans, or it was an all business approach to this football season for the Thundering Herd, one of the two.

The two players along with coach Doc Holliday wire suits to symbolize the “all business mentality” the Herd is carrying into football season.
“Ultimately at Marshall University the goal is to always play for championships and win championships and we didn’t get that done,” reminded Holliday. “At the end of the day, as well as we played Maryland in that bowl game, our ultimate goal wasn’t reached. We’re working extremely hard to get back there and have the opportunity to do it again.”
That has been Holliday’s line since the season ended in December, but now we’re a day closer to showing whether Marshall means business or not. Having the right mentality is part of that and while a dapper look isn’t going to win any football games it isn’t a bad reminder of the approach the Herd will need to take. 20th century philosopher and athlete Deion Saunders once said “If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good.”, so hopefully that theory applies to Marshall starting off with the business-like approach.
If we do pretend though that this was actually a loving tribute to Barney Stinson and How I Met Your Mother, then this isn’t the first time the Herd and HIMYM have crossed paths… (towards the end of the clip)
